Decadent White Chocolate Cake with a Hint of Coffee Flavor
Ingredients:
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 1/2 cups white sugar
– 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 2 eggs
– 1 cup buttermilk
– 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, melted
– 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan.
In a small bowl, dissolve instant coffee granules in 1 tablespoon of hot water. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk.
Fold in the melted white chocolate and coffee mixture until well combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.
