PAULA DEEN’S 5-MINUTES FUDGE

Ingredients:

1 and ⅔ cups white sugar

2/3 cup evaporated milk

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

½ teaspoon salt

1 (6-ounce) package milk chocolate chips

16 large marshmallows

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions:




Step 1: Prepare the Base Mixture

In a saucepan, combine 1 and ⅔ cups of white sugar, 2/3 cup of evaporated milk, 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, and ½ teaspoon of salt.

Cook the mixture over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Make sure to stir well to prevent the sugar from sticking to the pan.

Step 2: Incorporate Chocolate Chips and Additional Ingredients

After the 5 minutes of cooking, add the 6-ounce package of milk chocolate chips to the mixture. Continue stirring until the chocolate chips are completely melted.

Once the chocolate is melted, remove the saucepan from the heat.

Add 16 large marshmallows to the mixture. Also, add 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and 1 cup of chopped nuts. Stir the mixture thoroughly to combine all the ingredients evenly.

Step 3: Set and Serve

Pour the fudge mixture into an 8-inch square pan.

Allow the fudge to cool completely at room temperature. Once it has set, you can cut it into squares.
