Ingredients
- 1 cup Butter (softened)
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar

- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 ½ cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and mint extract, mixing until well combined. If desired, add green food coloring.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips.
- Shape and Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
