A warm, comforting milk tea with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon, perfect for cozy evenings or as a sweet treat during the day. This homemade tea is creamy, aromatic, and easy to make!
Ingredients:
2 black tea bags (or 2 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea)
1 cup water
1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and steep the tea bags in the hot water for 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
While the tea steeps, in another saucepan, heat the milk over medium-low heat until warm (but not boiling). Stir in the honey or maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Whisk to combine.
Remove the tea bags from the water and slowly pour the brewed tea into the milk mixture, stirring gently to combine.
Pour the tea into a mug and garnish with a cinnamon stick for extra flavor and a beautiful presentation.
