A tender and naturally sweetened banana bread that’s made with wholesome ingredients for a healthier twist. This banana bread is moist, delicious, and perfect for a guilt-free snack or breakfast.
Ingredients:
3 large ripe bananas, mashed
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (or all-purpose flour)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Optional mix-ins: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, honey or maple syrup, Greek yogurt, melted coconut oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing. If using, fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
