  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups sweetened shredded coconut

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crust:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Combine flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt in a bowl until crumbly.
    • Press mixture into the prepared baking dish.

  • Make the Filling:

    • Mix in condensed milk, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until combined.
    • Fold in shredded coconut evenly.
  • Assemble and Bake:
    • Pour filling over the pre-baked crust, spreading evenly.
    • Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded coconut on top.
    • Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and set.
  • Cool and Serve:
    • Cool completely in the baking dish.
    • Chill for 30 minutes before slicing into squares for clean edges.
