Crockpot Bread

A simple and rustic bread recipe made right in your slow cooker, perfect for when you want fresh, homemade bread with minimal effort.

Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups warm water

2 tablespoons olive oil

Optional toppings: herbs, seeds, or cheese

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt.

Gradually add the warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough back into the bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

After the dough has risen, shape it into a loaf and place it in a greased slow cooker.

Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on high for 2-3 hours, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Carefully remove the bread from the slow cooker and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
