Ingredients:
For the Wings:
10-12 chicken wings, tips removed and split
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup all-purpose flour (for coating)
For the Sauce:
¼ cup honey
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp garlic, minced
1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp water
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions:
Prepare the wings: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss them with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Then, lightly coat them with flour for a crispy texture.
Bake the wings: Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
Make the sauce: While the wings are baking, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, water, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a small saucepan. Simmer on
low heat for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
Coat the wings: Once the wings are crispy, remove them from the oven and toss them in the sweet honey garlic sauce until well coated.
Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions, if desired, and serve hot!
Enjoy your crispy, sweet, and savory chicken wings! 😋🍗
