Description

Chocolate Marshmallow Swirl Cookies are a decadent treat featuring a rich chocolate base and gooey marshmallow swirls. These chewy, s’mores-inspired cookies are perfect for holidays, bake sales, or cozy evenings at home.

 


Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed. Avoid overmixing.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
  • Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • To prevent marshmallow over-melting, chill the dough before baking and add a few marshmallows on top of each dough ball.
  • Dutch-processed cocoa powder provides a deeper flavor.
