Description

Chili Pizza Dough Balls are a delectable fusion of Italian and Tex-Mex cuisines. These bite-sized treats feature leftover chili, gooey mozzarella, and soft pizza dough, baked to golden perfection. Quick, easy, and bursting with flavor, they’re perfect for parties, game days, or family dinners.

 


Ingredients

  • 12 oz. Galbani® Mozzarella
  • 3 cups leftover chili
  • 1 store-bought pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Sour cream, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the Oil Mixture: Combine cilantro, garlic, red pepper flakes, and olive oil in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Divide the Dough: Shape the pizza dough into a ball and divide into 16 equal pieces.
  4. Prepare the Filling: Cut mozzarella into small chunks.
  5. Assemble the Dough Balls:
    • Flatten each dough piece.
    • Place 1 tablespoon of chili and 5–6 mozzarella chunks in the center.
    • Pinch edges to seal and form a ball.
  6. Bake: Arrange dough balls on a lined baking sheet. Brush with the oil mixture. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Serve: Cool for 5 minutes and serve with sour cream or your favorite dip.
