1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted 🧈
For the Cheesecake Layer:
16 oz cream cheese, softened 🧀
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs 🥚🥚
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 🌿
1/4 cup sour cream 🥛
For the Caramel Topping:
1/2 cup caramel sauce 🍮
Sea salt (optional, for garnish) 🧂
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
Make the Crust:
In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool slightly.
Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream until fully combined.
Assemble the Bars:
Pour the cheesecake mixture over the cooled crust and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden. Allow the bars to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully chilled.
