Cake Mix Christmas Cookies

Soft, chewy cookies made effortlessly with cake mix and studded with festive M&Ms, perfect for a quick holiday treat.

Ingredients:

1 (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix (or Devil’s Food)

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1 cup M&M candies (or chocolate chips)

Equipment:

Large mixing bowl

Quarter sheet pan

Cooling rack

Directions:

Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Make the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs. Mix until a thick dough forms. Fold in the M&M candies.

Form the Cookies: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.

Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2–3 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely.

Notes:

For variety, substitute M&Ms with chopped peppermint bark, crushed candy canes, or nuts.

Use holiday-themed M&Ms for a festive touch or drizzle the cooled cookies with white chocolate.
