Description

These Blueberry Swirl Yogurt Bites are the perfect healthy, refreshing snack, combining creamy Greek yogurt with a sweet and tangy blueberry swirl. Naturally sweetened with honey or maple syrup, these frozen bites are a nutritious and satisfying grab-and-go treat or light dessert.

Ingredients

For the Yogurt Base:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Blueberry Swirl:

  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  • Prepare the Blueberry Swirl:
In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, lemon juice, and water. Cook over medium heat for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  • Make the Yogurt Mixture:
In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth and well-combined.

  • Assemble the Bites:
Spoon the yogurt mixture into silicone molds or an ice cube tray. Add the blueberry mixture on top and gently swirl with a toothpick to create a marbled effect.

  • Freeze:
Place the molds or tray in the freezer for 2–3 hours, or until the yogurt bites are set.

  • Serve:
Pop the yogurt bites out of the molds and enjoy a delicious, healthy treat!

Notes

  • Storage: Store yogurt bites in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
  • Texture Tip: Let the bites sit at room temperature for a few minutes before eating for the best texture.
  • Sweetener Swap: Feel free to substitute honey or maple syrup with agave, coconut sugar, or a sugar alternative like stevia.
