This giant chocolate chip cookie is soft, chewy, and loaded with gooey chocolate chips in every bite. Perfect for sharing or indulging solo, it has a slightly crisp edge with a tender, melt-in-your-mouth center—a cookie lover’s dream!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Shape the dough into a large ball and place it in the center of the prepared baking sheet. Press it down slightly to flatten the top.
Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is just set.
Let the cookie cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before slicing into wedges and serving.
