This festive wreath pizza is perfect for holiday gatherings, featuring a delicious pizza base topped with melty mozzarella, juicy cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil. Shaped like a holiday wreath, it’s a fun, shareable treat that will impress guests and family alike!
Ingredients:
1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini), halved
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Olive oil, for drizzling
Italian seasoning (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large circle. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel if using a pizza stone.
Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce layer.
Arrange the halved mozzarella balls and cherry tomatoes around the outer edges of the pizza to create a wreath shape.
Drizzle a little olive oil on top, and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, if desired.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and slice to serve.
