Ingredients:

12 oz elbow macaroni (or any pasta of your choice)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups whole milk

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

Cook the Pasta:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Make the Cheese Sauce:

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes until it forms a smooth roux. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Continue cooking for about 4-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Add the Cheese:

Lower the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine the Pasta and Cheese Sauce:

Add the cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and stir until the pasta is fully coated with the creamy sauce.

Serve:

Serve the mac and cheese warm, and enjoy the creamy, cheesy goodness!
