1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda

3 cups rolled oats
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in the rolled oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Drop rounded spoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 8-10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are golden.
Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
