Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup milk
Extra sugar for rolling
Instructions:
Preheat & Prepare:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream Butter & Sugar:
In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in egg and vanilla.
Combine Dry Ingredients:
In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Mix & Chill Dough:
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
Chill dough for 30 minutes (optional but helps with shaping).
Form & Bake:
Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then coat in sugar.
Place on baking sheet and gently flatten.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set.
