Delightful Cream Cheese and Shrimp Wontons with a Crunchy Exterior

Ingredients:

– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, finely chopped (or use whole small shrimp)
– 2 green onions, finely chopped
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce

Directions:

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped shrimp, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Mix until well combined.
Place a small spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
Using your finger, dampen the edges of the wonton wrapper with water.
Fold the wonton wrapper in half diagonally to create a triangle shape, pressing the edges together to seal.
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the wontons in batches for 2-3 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Remove the wontons from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve the shrimp and cream cheese wontons hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
