Chicken Green Bean Stir Fry

A quick, healthy, and flavorful stir-fry with tender chicken and crisp green beans, all coated in a savory sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

300 g (10 oz) green beans, trimmed

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, freshly grated

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon sesame oil

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (to thicken sauce)

Sesame seeds and green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the sauce:

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.

2️⃣ Cook the chicken:

Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken strips and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

3️⃣ Stir-fry the veggies:

In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed. Sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Add the green beans and cook for about 5 minutes, until tender-crisp.

4️⃣ Combine & thicken the sauce:

Return the chicken to the pan. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir to coat everything evenly.

Add the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with water) and stir to thicken the sauce.

5️⃣ Serve & enjoy!

Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal! 😋

✨ Tip: Add some toasted cashews or peanuts for extra crunch!
