Glazed Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread

This soft, moist, and perfectly spiced apple cinnamon bread is packed with oats, fresh apples, and topped with a sweet glaze. Perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert!

Ingredients

For the Bread:

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 cup old-fashioned oats

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup brown sugar

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter (melted) or ½ cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup milk (or buttermilk for extra moisture)

1 ½ cups diced apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or your favorite)

For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar

1-2 tablespoons milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat & Prep

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper.

2. Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

3. Mix the Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter (or oil), eggs, vanilla, and milk.

4. Combine & Add Apples
Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Gently fold in the diced apples.

5. Bake the Bread
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

6. Make the Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Drizzle over the cooled bread.
