Ingredients:

¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 ½ cups (315 g) all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

2 tablespoons (28 g) unsalted butter, melted

⅓ cup (65 g) brown sugar (or granulated sugar)

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:

1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk or cream

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Prepare the Dough:

In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.

Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture.

Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic, and chill for 30 minutes.

Roll & Fill:

Roll the dough into a rectangle (about ¼-inch thick).

Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Roll tightly into a log, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Slice & Bake:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice the log into ¼-inch thick rounds and place on the sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Let cool.

Glaze & Enjoy:
