High-Protein Cottage Cheese Bagels

Ingredients:

1 cup cottage cheese (full-fat or low-fat)

2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for a hint of sweetness)

1 egg (for brushing)

Optional toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or everything bagel seasoning

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Stir until the dough comes together; it will be slightly sticky.

Dust a clean surface with flour, then knead the dough lightly until it becomes smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
