Ingredients:
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
3 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups whole milk
Ground nutmeg, for sprinkling
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together beaten eggs, granulated sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Gradually add the whole milk to the egg mixture, whisking continuously.
Pour the custard mixture into the unbaked pie crust.

Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 25-30 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
