Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies or holiday sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and egg until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the white chocolate chips, mini chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candies or sprinkles (if using).
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra festive flair, try using holiday-colored sprinkles or peppermint bark pieces instead of crushed peppermint candies.
- Be careful not to overbake these cookies—removing them while the centers are still soft will give them that perfect chewy texture.
- These cookies are great for gift-giving or holiday cookie swaps!
