For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
- Make Batter: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
- Form Fritters: Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping into small rounds.
- Bake: Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Prepare Glaze: While the fritters cool, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Glaze and Serve: Drizzle or dip the cooled fritters in the glaze. Let the glaze set before serving.
Notes
- For added texture, mix in chopped walnuts or pecans with the diced apples.
- Store leftover fritters in an airtight container for up to two days. Reheat in the oven for a fresh-baked taste.
- Use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples for the perfect balance of tart and sweet.
