Ingredients

For the Steak:

  • 300g beef sirloin or flank steak (halal)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Shrimp:

  • 300g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Assembly:

  • 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  • Marinate the Steak: Combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Rub it over the steak and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Cook the Steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side. Rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
  • Prepare the Shrimp: Toss shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook the Shrimp: Using the same skillet, cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  • Warm the Tortillas: Heat tortillas in a dry skillet or over an open flame until warm and slightly charred.
  • Assemble the Tacos: Fill tortillas with steak slices, shrimp, diced onions, and shredded cheese. Sprinkle with cilantro and drizzle with lime juice.
  • Serve: Enjoy with your favorite salsa or hot sauce.

Notes
