Ingredients
For the Steak:
- 300g beef sirloin or flank steak (halal)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Shrimp:
- 300g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly:
- 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- Lime wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the Steak: Combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Rub it over the steak and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Cook the Steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side. Rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
- Prepare the Shrimp: Toss shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the Shrimp: Using the same skillet, cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
- Warm the Tortillas: Heat tortillas in a dry skillet or over an open flame until warm and slightly charred.
- Assemble the Tacos: Fill tortillas with steak slices, shrimp, diced onions, and shredded cheese. Sprinkle with cilantro and drizzle with lime juice.
- Serve: Enjoy with your favorite salsa or hot sauce.
