Ingredients

  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 large lemon, zested and juiced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Prepare Bottom Layer: Lay out one can of crescent roll dough in the dish, pinching seams to seal.
  • Make Filling: Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add sugar, lemon juice, most of the lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Assemble Layers: Spread the filling over the bottom crust. Lay the second can of crescent roll dough on top, sealing edges.
  • Add Topping: Mix melted butter with sugar and remaining zest. Brush over the top layer.
  • Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool & Serve: Let cool for 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For a crisper bottom layer, pre-bake the first layer for 7 minutes.
