Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (raisins, currants, or dried plums), finely chopped
  • Coarse sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and mix.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, folding in the chopped dried fruit.
  5. Roll dough into small balls, flatten gently, and place on the prepared sheet.
