Description

Indulge in a light and airy strawberry mousse, a quick and versatile dessert that highlights the natural sweetness of fresh strawberries. Perfect for casual dinners or elegant gatherings, this recipe offers options for vegan, keto, and mixed-berry variations.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese or coconut cream
  • 4 oz yogurt or additional cream cheese/coconut cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar or sugar-free alternative
  • 5 medium-sized strawberries
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp vanilla bean paste

Instructions

  1. If using cream cheese, bring it to room temperature. If using coconut cream, ensure it’s thick and creamy.
  2. Remove the stems from the strawberries and puree them until smooth.
  3. In a bowl, combine the strawberry puree with the remaining ingredients. Blend until the mixture is smooth and forms stiff peaks (if using hand beaters).
  4. Divide the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. The mousse will thicken as it chills.

Notes

  • Vegan Option: Replace dairy ingredients with plant-based alternatives like coconut cream or vegan cream cheese.
  • Keto-Friendly Option: Use a powdered monk fruit or allulose blend instead of sugar.
  • Berry Variations: Try substituting or adding raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries for a mixed berry flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Freezing may alter the creamy texture.
