Ingredients
For the Cake:

- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4–5 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch pan and line with parchment paper.
- Prepare Strawberries: Puree fresh strawberries. Reserve 1 cup for the cake and 1 cup for the frosting.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vegetable oil and mix until combined.
- Add Eggs: Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Combine Ingredients: Gradually mix in dry ingredients, alternating with milk. Fold in the strawberry puree and sour cream.
- Bake: Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
- Make Frosting: Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar. Mix in strawberry puree, vanilla, and salt until light and fluffy.
- Frost Cake: Spread frosting over the cooled cake. Serve and enjoy!
