Ingredients
For the steak:
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the haunted bourbon garlic cream sauce:
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the Steak: Sprinkle salt and pepper evenly over the steak pieces.
- Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook until browned and cooked to your desired doneness (3–5 minutes for medium-rare to medium). Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, pour bourbon and simmer until reduced by half (about 2–3 minutes).
- Add Ingredients: Stir in heavy cream, minced garlic, dried thyme, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Combine and Serve: Return the steak to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
- Substitute bourbon with beef broth and apple cider vinegar for an alcohol-free option.
- Use fresh thyme for a brighter, herbaceous flavor.
