Description

Elevate your steak game with this indulgent and spooky twist! Our Steak with Haunted Bourbon Garlic Cream Sauce combines tender sirloin pieces with a rich, smoky, and creamy bourbon garlic sauce. Perfect for Halloween-themed dinners, special occasions, or a cozy weeknight meal, this quick and versatile recipe is a flavor-packed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

For the steak:

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the haunted bourbon garlic cream sauce:

  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Season the Steak: Sprinkle salt and pepper evenly over the steak pieces.
  • Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook until browned and cooked to your desired doneness (3–5 minutes for medium-rare to medium). Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, pour bourbon and simmer until reduced by half (about 2–3 minutes).
  • Add Ingredients: Stir in heavy cream, minced garlic, dried thyme, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Combine and Serve: Return the steak to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
  • Substitute bourbon with beef broth and apple cider vinegar for an alcohol-free option.
  • Use fresh thyme for a brighter, herbaceous flavor.
