Ingredients

For the Steak:

  • 2 sirloin or ribeye steaks
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

For the Creamy Mushroom Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped

For the Asparagus:

  • 1 bunch asparagus, ends trimmed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Rub the steaks with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side or until they reach desired doneness. Remove from skillet and rest.
  • In the same skillet, heat olive oil and butter. Add mushrooms, sauté for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in minced garlic, cook for 1 minute. Add heavy cream, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  • Drizzle olive oil over asparagus, season with salt and pepper. Grill or pan-roast for 5 minutes until tender.
  • Plate steaks, top with mushroom sauce, serve asparagus on the side, and garnish with parsley.
