Description

Spiced Apple Tea is a cozy, aromatic beverage made with black tea, fresh apple slices, and warming spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Perfect for chilly days, this tea offers natural sweetness, soothing comfort, and health-boosting benefits in every sip.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags or 2 tsp loose leaf black tea (Assam or Ceylon preferred)
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced (or use dried apple)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (or freshly grated)
  • 1 star anise pod (optional)
  • 12 tsp maple syrup (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  • Boil the Water: In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Add Apples and Spices: Reduce the heat to a simmer. Add apple slices, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, and star anise (if using). Simmer for 5-7 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  • Steep the Tea: Add black tea bags or loose tea to the saucepan. Steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired tea strength.
  • Strain and Serve: Remove tea bags or strain loose tea and spices. Pour the tea into cups.
  • Sweeten (Optional): Add maple syrup or your preferred sweetener to taste.
  • Serve: Enjoy your Spiced Apple Tea hot and savor its fragrant, warming flavors.

Notes

  • Use fresh apple slices for a natural sweetness. Dried apple can add a concentrated flavor.
  • Star anise is optional but adds a licorice-like depth to the tea.
  • For a stronger spiced flavor, simmer longer or add more spices like cloves or ginger.
