Description

These Soft Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies are the perfect balance of chewy and gooey, offering a melt-in-your-mouth experience with every bite. Made with partially melted butter and loaded with rich chocolate chips, these cookies deliver a decadent treat that’s hard to resist. Whether you’re baking for a special occasion or satisfying your sweet tooth, this easy-to-follow recipe guarantees cookies that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt or sea salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease with non-stick spray.
  • Place butter in a metal bowl and place it in the oven to partially melt (about half of the butter), then remove and let it cool slightly.
  • Once cooled, add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the butter. Beat with a mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated.
  • Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until combined. If dough is too wet, add extra flour one tablespoon at a time.
  • Fold in chocolate chips until just incorporated.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets using a cookie scoop, spacing them well apart. Press extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes for large cookies or 8-9 minutes for small ones. Be careful not to over-bake.
  • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

  • If you want your cookies to spread less, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For long-term storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat cookies for 10-15 seconds in the microwave to restore the gooey texture.
