Description

These Slow Cooker Maple & Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots are the ultimate sweet and savory side dish. Tender baby carrots are coated in a buttery maple glaze with a hint of cinnamon, making them a perfect addition to holiday meals or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs baby carrots
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Add Ingredients: Place baby carrots in the slow cooker. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour over the carrots, tossing to coat.
  • Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours, stirring once or twice, until carrots are tender and coated in glaze.
  • Serve: Transfer to a serving dish, drizzle with extra glaze, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a richer glaze, add 1 tablespoon of orange juice or a pinch of nutmeg.
  • Works well with sliced carrots if baby carrots are unavailable.
  • Can be prepared a day ahead and reheated before serving.
