Description

Pressure Cooker Corned Beef Brisket is an easy and time-saving way to prepare a tender, flavorful brisket. The combination of garlic, onion powder, and sweet cola infuses the meat with rich, savory flavors, making it a perfect dish for any occasion. This pressure cooker method results in a juicy and tender brisket in just 90 minutes, cutting down on traditional cooking times.

Ingredients

  • 1 (4-pound) corned beef brisket, seasoning packet discarded
  • 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1½ teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 (12-ounce) bottle of cola or another sweet carbonated beverage

Instructions

  • Prepare the Brisket: Place the corned beef brisket fat-side up on a rack inside your electric pressure cooker.
  • Season: Sprinkle the garlic powder and onion powder evenly over the brisket.
  • Add Liquid: Pour the soda into the pressure cooker around the brisket.
  • Cook: Close and lock the lid. Select the “Meat” setting according to your pressure cooker’s instructions and set the timer for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build before cooking begins.
  • Release Pressure: Once the cooking time is complete, use the natural-release method to release the pressure (about 10 to 40 minutes).
  • Serve: Unlock the lid, remove the brisket, discard the fat if desired, and slice the meat against the grain before serving.

Notes

  • For a complete meal, add vegetables like carrots, potatoes, and cabbage after cooking the brisket. Cook them for 5 more minutes on high pressure.
  • Use brown sugar and spices to rub the brisket for an enhanced taste.
