This easy-to-make snack is perfect for game day, parties, or a fun twist on dinner. With a crispy crust and melty cheese, it’s sure to be a hit at your next gathering!

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced cooked beef or steak tips
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Marinara or queso sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil and minced garlic. Brush the mixture over the rolled dough.
  • Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese and half of the shredded provolone evenly over the dough.
  • Layer the thinly sliced beef on top, seasoning with garlic powder, oregano, chili powder (if using), and a pinch of salt.
  • Fold the dough over the filling, pressing lightly to seal the edges. Cut the dough into strips.
  • Twist each strip and place on the prepared baking sheet. Top with the remaining provolone cheese.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the breadsticks are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve warm with marinara or queso sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Variations: Add jalapeños for a spicy kick, or substitute beef with sautéed mushrooms or peppers for a vegetarian version.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes for the best texture.
  • Freezing: You can freeze the baked breadsticks for up to 2 months. To reheat, bake from frozen at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
  • Cheese Options: You can use mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or a cheese blend instead of provolone.
