Description

Pecan Pie Bark is an easy-to-make treat that combines the rich, buttery flavor of pecan pie with a satisfying crunch. Perfect for holidays, gifting, or snacking, this dessert is made with graham crackers, a caramel-like pecan topping, and a handful of pantry staples.

Ingredients

For the Base:

  • 1 sleeve (about 15) graham crackers, broken into squares

For the Pecan Topping:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1½ cups chopped pecans
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Arrange graham crackers in a single layer.
  2. Make the Pecan Topping:
    • Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
    • Stir in brown sugar and cook until dissolved and bubbling (2-3 minutes).
    • Remove from heat and mix in pecans, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Assemble and Bake:
    • Pour the pecan topping over graham crackers, spreading evenly.
    • Bake for 8-10 minutes until bubbling and golden brown.
  4. Cool and Break into Pieces:
    • Cool completely on the baking sheet. Break into pieces once set.

Notes

  • For variations, try drizzling melted chocolate, adding flaky sea salt, or using mixed nuts.
  • Ensure the sugar mixture doesn’t overcook to avoid separation.
