Description

A crispy and golden-brown Parmesan crusted chicken topped with a rich, velvety creamy garlic sauce, making for a comforting and indulgent meal.

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken breast in the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to ensure an even coat.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. While the chicken bakes, make the creamy garlic sauce. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  8. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  9. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  10. Let the sauce simmer for 4-5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  11. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  12. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and pour the creamy garlic sauce over the top.
  13. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.

If you prefer a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes to the garlic sauce.

You can use chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts for a juicier cut of meat.

This recipe can be made ahead by preparing the garlic sauce in advance.

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
