Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast in the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to ensure an even coat.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- While the chicken bakes, make the creamy garlic sauce. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
- Let the sauce simmer for 4-5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and pour the creamy garlic sauce over the top.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
If you prefer a spicier dish, add red pepper flakes to the garlic sauce.
You can use chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts for a juicier cut of meat.
This recipe can be made ahead by preparing the garlic sauce in advance.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
