Ingredients
- 4 large Russet potatoes (washed and cut into fries)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
- ⅓ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare potatoes – Cut them into fries and pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Season fries – In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning until evenly coated.
- Bake – Arrange the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Add garlic and Parmesan – In the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle minced fresh garlic and grated Parmesan over the fries. Return to the oven until the cheese melts and the garlic becomes fragrant.
- Garnish and serve – Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak cut potatoes in water for 30 minutes, then dry before baking.
- Swap Russet potatoes with sweet potatoes for a unique twist.
- Add cayenne pepper for a spicy version.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes or in an air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes.
