Description

Oreo Dirt Cake is an easy no-bake dessert featuring layers of crushed Oreo cookies, creamy pudding, and whipped topping. Perfect for parties, family gatherings, or a sweet treat anytime, this dessert is loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 16 oz Cool Whip, thawed
  • 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Pulverize the cookies into fine crumbs. Reserve 1/3 of the crumbs for topping.
  2. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: Beat softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well. Fold in half of the Cool Whip until fluffy.
  3. Make the Pudding: Whisk instant pudding mixes with cold milk. Let sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Assemble the Layers: In a 9×13-inch dish, layer half of the Oreo crumbs, spread the pudding mixture, then top with the remaining Cool Whip. Sprinkle reserved Oreo crumbs on top.
  6. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Notes

  • Add gummy worms on top for a whimsical touch.
  • For a richer flavor, use chocolate pudding or add a peanut butter swirl.
  • Assemble in mason jars or cups for individual servings.
  • Homemade whipped cream can replace Cool Whip; whip to stiff peaks for best results.
