Description
These No Bake Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Protein Balls are a delicious, easy-to-make snack that combines oats, chocolate chips, peanut butter, honey, and protein powder, offering a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors.
Ingredients
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter (or almond butter)
1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)
1/4 cup protein powder (vanilla or chocolate flavor)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chocolate chips, and protein powder.
- Add the peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until well combined. If the mixture feels too dry, add a splash of milk or water to make it easier to mix.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet or tray.
- Chill the protein balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm them up.
- Once chilled, enjoy the protein balls or store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
Notes
Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
For longer storage, freeze them for up to a month and let them thaw before enjoying.
To make them vegan, substitute honey with maple syrup and use plant-based protein powder.
Substitute chocolate chips with dark chocolate chips, mini chocolate chips, or cacao nibs for different variations.
Use certified gluten-free oats to make the recipe gluten-free.
