Instructions
1. Make the Meatloaf:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, ketchup, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
2. Prepare Mashed Potatoes:
- In a large pot, boil peeled and cubed potatoes until tender (about 15-20 minutes).
- Drain and mash the potatoes with milk, butter, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
3. Make the Gravy:
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in beef broth and let it simmer until thickened.
