Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers (use gluten-free graham crackers if needed)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Make the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust.
- Layer the Ingredients: Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the graham cracker crust. Sprinkle chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts (if using) evenly on top, pressing gently into the milk layer.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Cool and Slice: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, slice into squares or rectangles and serve.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free graham crackers.
- Vegan option: Replace butter with a dairy-free alternative and use dairy-free chocolate chips.
- If you prefer nut-free, skip the nuts altogether.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon or a splash of vanilla extract for extra flavor in the crust.
