Ingredients
- 24 oz salmon fillets (about 3–4 fillets)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce or tamari sauce
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice (or lemon juice)
- ¼ cup fig spread (preferably Divina brand)
- Red pepper flakes, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Salmon
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat salmon fillets dry and grease a baking dish with butter.
- Place salmon skin-side down, sprinkle with garlic and salt, and top with thin slices of butter.
Bake
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Prepare the Glaze
- While salmon bakes, mix soy sauce, honey, lime juice, fig spread, and red pepper flakes in a bowl until smooth.
Glaze the Salmon
- Remove salmon from oven and spoon glaze over each fillet.
- Return to oven for 2-5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
