Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4 drops hot sauce (such as Tabasco)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool before serving.
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • You can adjust the spice level by adding more hot sauce or cayenne pepper to taste.
  • For a sweeter version, add brown sugar or honey.
