Description

Holy Cow Cake is a rich and indulgent dessert featuring layers of moist chocolate cake, caramel, cream cheese, and crunchy toffee bits. Perfect for parties, birthdays, or any special occasion, this easy-to-make treat will leave everyone saying, “Holy cow, that’s delicious!”

Ingredients

  • For the Cake:
    • 1 box devil’s food cake mix (or any chocolate cake mix)
    • 1 cup water
    • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    • 3 large eggs
  • For the Toppings:
    • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
    • 1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce (or butterscotch sauce)
    • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
    • 1 cup Heath toffee bits or crushed chocolate toffee bars
    • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cake:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix according to the package instructions.
    • Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    • Allow the cake to cool slightly in the pan.
  • Add the Toppings:
    • While the cake is warm, poke holes all over the top using a wooden spoon handle.
    • Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, letting it soak into the holes.
    • Spread the caramel sauce over the top. Let the cake cool completely.
  • Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer:
    • In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
    • Gradually add powdered sugar and beat until creamy. Fold in the whipped topping.
  • Assemble the Cake:
    • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled cake.
    • Sprinkle the Heath toffee bits and mini chocolate chips on top.
  • Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours until the topping is set. Slice and serve chilled.
