Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
8 oz egg noodles (or pasta of choice)
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, drain, and set them aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Once it’s browned, drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 2-3 minutes, until softened.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook them for about 5-7 minutes until they become tender.
- Stir in the flour and cook for another minute to help thicken the sauce.
- Gradually pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid any lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Lower the heat and stir in the sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste, letting it simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing them in the creamy sauce. Serve hot and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

For a leaner version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
For a vegetarian option, replace ground beef with mushrooms and add extra vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
