Description

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi is a flavorful seafood dish with a sweet and tangy glaze that perfectly complements the tender, flaky fish. This easy recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners or impressing guests. The combination of fresh ginger, soy sauce, and rice vinegar creates a deliciously aromatic glaze, giving the mahi mahi a fresh, spicy-sweet kick. Quick to make, this dish pairs wonderfully with steamed rice and sautéed vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 4 (6-ounce) mahi mahi fillets
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, water, rice vinegar, ginger, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Season the mahi mahi fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until the fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Drizzle the ginger glaze over the mahi mahi fillets and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Spicy Ginger Glaze: Add chili flakes or fresh chopped chili for extra heat.
  • Herb Garnish: Top with fresh cilantro or parsley for color and flavor.
  • Grilled Mahi Mahi: Grill instead of pan-frying for a smoky twist.
